Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily payables operations. This role is ideal for someone who can work efficiently in a high-volume setting, maintain accuracy, and contribute to improving processes and overall workflow consistency.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage invoice processing from intake through system entry, ensuring completeness and proper authorization
· Coordinate weekly and ad hoc payment activities, including checks and electronic disbursements
· Review invoice details and align expenses with appropriate general ledger classifications
· Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address questions, resolve discrepancies, and clarify account details
· Process employee expense submissions using internal expense management tools
· Assist with account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
· Research billing inconsistencies and work cross-functionally to ensure timely resolution
· Maintain organized documentation and accurate records for audit and reporting purposes
· Contribute to year-end reporting requirements, including vendor-related filings
· Support process improvements and assist with additional accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications
· 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting support
· Familiarity with invoice processing, expense reporting, and payment cycles
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of transactions
· Effective communication skills for vendor and internal interactions
· Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
