Accounts Payable Specialist in Los Angeles

Compensation Range: $26.00/hour - $34.00/hour

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90025 (Hybrid)

Role Overview:

 

We’re looking for a high-volume AP/data entry professional with strong attention to detail and experience in invoice processing within an ERP system (NetSuite preferred). This person should be a quick learner, resourceful, and comfortable asking clear, thoughtful questions. They should be accurate, reliable, and able to adapt to process changes, including a transition from 3-way to 2-way matching in an entertainment finance environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Enter and process high-volume invoices into NetSuite
• Perform 2-way matching (invoice to PO) as part of updated AP workflow
• Support month-end close as needed

 

Review invoices for:

 

• Correct vendor details
• Proper coding (GL/account, department, project, production, etc.)
• Accuracy and completeness
• Flag discrepancies, missing information, or unusual charges
• Communicate with internal teams (production, finance, vendors) to resolve issues
• Maintain organized digital records and documentation
• Assist with AP aging, clean-up, and reporting

 

Must-Have Qualifications:

 

• 1+ year experience in:
• Accounts Payable, OR
• Accounting data entry, OR
• High-volume financial data processing
• Experience using NetSuite (strongly preferred; similar ERP acceptable)
• Strong data entry speed and accuracy

 

Working knowledge of:

 

• Invoice processing
• Basic GL coding
• Excel (intermediate - sorting, filtering, basic formulas) to (proficiency - lookups, pivots)
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to process changes (e.g., 3-way → 2-way match)

 

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

 

• Experience in entertainment, media, or production accounting
