This position will manage the AP process ensuring invoices are entered, approved, and paid in a timely manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESImports invoices into accounts payable management software, including those received via mail, email, and direct importsCodes invoices to proper cost center(s)Communicates with managers and other invoice approvers to ensure invoices are approved before payment deadlinePrepares payment batches and obtains approval signaturesResearches past invoices, missed payments, etc., communicating with vendors as neededTracks online purchases that exclude sales tax for reporting purposesEnsures W-9s are completed/updated for required vendors; checks all 1099s for correct tax ID numberCompletes credit applications for new vendorsAssists in monthly closingsSaves accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable filesManages credit card payments and accountsEnsures payments are processed within the third party payer systemMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentWorking knowledge of basic accounting principlesCan operate fully automated AP workflowsPREFERREDOne (1) year experience of invoice processingKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Internet software, and accounting softwareEffective communication, both oral and written, with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations while listening and responding appropriately to questionsOrganizational skills with attention to detailAbility to manage workflow, prioritize demands, and meet deadlinesCan skillfully gather and analyze informationCan identify ways to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality and serviceHigh level of problem solving to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with thoroughness and accuracyExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult situationsAdd, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsCompute rate, ratio, and percentMaintain a high level of confidentiality and discretionEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
