CFS has partnered with a well-established organization in the Greater Hartford, CT area to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing accounting team. Responsibilities

• 
  
• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently through the full accounts payable cycle
• 
  
• Perform invoice matching, coding, data entry, approvals, and payment processing
• 
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and research invoice discrepancies
• 
  
• Support the implementation and transition to a new purchasing and invoicing system
• 
  
• Maintain organized AP records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• 
  
• Assist with month-end activities and special projects within the Accounting department
• 
  
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely processing and resolution of issues
• 
  

Requirements

• 
  
• 3+ years of high-volume, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
• 
  
• Prior experience working within ERP systems
• 
  
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, reconciliations, and vendor management
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• 
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
