Position Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Location: Leesburg, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $31.00 – $33 / Hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Apply and post customer payments accurately and timely
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies, including unapplied or misapplied cash
• Generate and review invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Monitor AR aging and support collection and resolution efforts
• Investigate and resolve billing and payment discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer account records and master data
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Operations)
• Support order release processes by resolving account holds
• Prepare documentation for AR transactions and ensure audit readiness
• Assist with month-end close activities related to receivables
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, data analysis)
• Experience working within an ERP system (JDE preferred)
• Knowledge of cash application processes and related regulations
• Ability to analyze issues and implement solutions effectively
