This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, recovering outstanding balances, and finding creative solutions to improve cash flow. The ideal candidate is not someone who simply sends payment reminders — we are looking for a proactive, self‑motivated professional who can build trust with customers, negotiate effectively, think outside the box, and successfully drive results. You will own customer accounts, develop collection strategies, and work directly with clients to resolve payment challenges while maintaining strong long‑term partnerships.This position requires a balance of collections, account management, relationship building, and sales-minded communication . The right person will be comfortable having difficult conversations, influencing customer behavior, and finding ways to get results without relying on constant escalation. Cannabis industry experience is strongly preferred, along with experience using LeafLink and QuickBooks.Key Responsibilities:Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and strong customer relationshipsProactively engage customers regarding outstanding balances through phone calls, emails, and relationship-based outreachDevelop creative strategies to improve collections and accelerate cash flowBuild rapport with customers while effectively negotiating payment solutions and commitmentsIdentify root causes behind delayed payments and work collaboratively to resolve issuesMaintain accurate customer records, payment activity, and collection notesMonitor AR aging reports and prioritize accounts based on risk and opportunityPartner with internal teams including sales, finance, and operations to resolve account concernsTake ownership of challenging accounts and independently drive solutions from start to finishMaintain customer loyalty while balancing company financial goalsIdentify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and improve payment behaviorsTrack performance metrics and contribute ideas to improve collection processesWhat We're Looking For:3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Account Management, Sales, Customer Success, or a related roleStrong communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationshipsSales-oriented mindset with the ability to confidently handle customer conversationsSomeone who is resourceful, persistent, and motivated by achieving resultsAbility to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems without constant directionComfortable managing difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism and trustStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneouslyExperience working with customer accounts, invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliationProficiency with Excel and accounting softwarePreferred Qualifications:Cannabis industry experience or similar high volume manufacturing industry experienceExperience with LeafLink and QuickBooksBackground in B2B sales, account management, customer success, or collectionsExperience managing high-value customer relationshipsProven success improving payment timelines or recovering outstanding balancesExperience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentThe United Green is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
