Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are partnering with a client in the Newark, OH area seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support their accounting and billing operations. This position will be responsible for preparing and processing invoices, tracking billing activity, researching discrepancies, and helping ensure customer billing is accurate and completed on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with multiple systems and internal teams. This position is starting on a contract basis with the plan to go permanently based on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, organize, and track billing and accounts receivable information using Excel and other internal tools

• Create and submit customer invoices through various billing portals and systems

• Research billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues

• Review billing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements

• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with resolving past-due or payment-related issues

• Support month-end reporting, audit requests, and other accounts receivable activities as needed

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of previous experience in accounts receivable, billing and invoicing

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with multiple systems

• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to research discrepancies and follow issues through resolution

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a client in Newark, OH and a great fit for someone looking to continue developing their accounts receivable and billing experience.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
