Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process for assigned customer accounts.
- Create and maintain customer accounts, credit information, and billing records.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
- Review sales orders, contracts, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing.
- Post daily cash receipts, ACH payments, wire transfers, and checks.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate payment records.
- Monitor customer aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances.
- Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices through phone and email communication.
- Investigate billing issues and collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve disputes.
- Document collection efforts and account status updates
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and customer statements.
- Prepare aging reports and collection summaries for management.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
Required
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or related accounting experience.
- Experience managing high-volume invoicing and cash application.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
