As an ACT Support Specialist I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties, including supporting Community Support Workers (CSWs) and coordinating care for clients. This role involves providing therapeutic services, preparing assessments, and ensuring effective communication between clients and the clinical team. All responsibilities must comply with MBI Health Services standards and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
Support of Community Support Workers (CSWs).
Assisting the clinical team in coordinating care and future healthcare needs.
Providing an effective communication link between the consumer and the clinical team.
Maintaining confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
Collecting information about clients through interviews, tests, and evaluation of day-to-day functioning within work, family, and other routines; identifying areas needing continued support, resources, and treatment to assist clients.
Providing therapeutic services to clients through individual, family, and group sessions that are consistent with current research, professional standards, and MBI's vision and values (You will be expected to provide a minimum of 10 billable therapy hours per week).
Preparing diagnostic and bio-psychosocial assessments, clinical notes, referrals, and revising treatment plans for clients, as needed.
Providing follow-up and aftercare planning services, as needed.
Providing emergency services during working hours and after-hours, as assigned.
Attending staff meetings and other activities that ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
All duties and responsibilities must be performed in compliance with the District of Columbia's Behavioral Health Standards, the regulations of MBI Health Services, LLC, and all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws.
Attending all company-required trainings.
Other related duties as assigned.
Master's degree in Social Work, or behavior health related field
Training or experience in a health care, human service field or equivalent experience
1-2 years in the mental health environment
Strong organizational skills
Effective communication and time management skills
Some Experience reviewing and approving notes
