    Certified Activities Supervisor

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Certified Activities Supervisor to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s activity programs.

    This position ensures that the emotional, recreational, spiritual, and social needs of our residents are met on an individual basis. All programs must be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, as well as the direction of the Facility Administrator.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate resident activity programs.
    • Coordinate activity programs with residents, families, staff members, volunteers, and community agencies.
    • Develop and coordinate the facility’s volunteer program.
    • Identify and monitor residents’ spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interviews, visits, and consultations with residents and their families.
    • Complete the activity section of the Resident Assessment Instrument and resident care plans accurately and on time.
    • Participate in resident care plan meetings.
    • Maintain activity programs that support residents’ individual interests, abilities, and needs.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience as an Activities Supervisor is preferred.
    • Long-term care experience is preferred.
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
    • Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when working with elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
