Our client, an insurance company based in downtown Boston, is hiring an Actuarial Analyst to support their pricing and reserving teams. This role works closely with senior actuaries to analyze policy data, build rating models, and prepare regulatory filings across multiple lines of business.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in statistics and financial mathematics, along with progress toward actuarial exam credentials. This is a hands-on analytical role with regular exposure to underwriting, finance, and product teams, offering a clear path toward becoming a credentialed actuary.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain pricing and reserving models
- Analyze loss trends and claims experience data
- Prepare exhibits for quarterly reserve reviews
- Assist with state regulatory rate filings
- Support experience studies for mortality and morbidity assumptions
- Collaborate with underwriting on rate adequacy analysis
- Document methodology and assumptions for internal audits
- Present findings to senior actuarial staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 2 or more years of actuarial or analytical experience
- At least two actuarial exams passed
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Experience with R, Python, or SAS preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements a plus
