Job Description:

POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Computer and Information Sciences: Computer and Information Sciences Department; STEM Division; Haverhill (100 Elliott Street); MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position

SUMMARY: For Fall 2026, we are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various Computer and Information Sciences Courses and Computer Networking Certificate courses on an as needed basis. Successful applicants would teach courses in Computer Applications and/or Introduction to Information Technology. Classes are held on NECC''s Haverhill campus. Seeking instructors for primarily day classes.

A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog. Course descriptions are available on the NECC website.

Adjunct Faculty will engage in a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success.

Please note: Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.

REPORTS TO: Dean of STEM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
  • Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, and syllabus requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master''s degree in related field
  • Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
  • Experience using technology in instruction and assessment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Community College teaching experience
  • Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning
  • Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.

SALARY: $1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
