Position Overview
This Adjunct faculty member teaches EAP, English for Academic Purposes courses.
What you will be doing
- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
- Masters Degree in TESOL or Masters Degree and 18 graduate hours in TESOL preferred. Masters Degree in Linguistics, Foreign Languages, English or Education with one of the following: 18 graduate credit hours focusing on language instruction or two years of teaching experience in ESL
- All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
