Job Function

Macomb Community College adjunct professors provide instruction to students using various modalities such as on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. They communicate with students and provide assessment of student's learning and grade

Job Responsibilities

• Teach predefined subject matter as assigned by the department using assigned textbooks.
• Participate and actively cooperate with the department and learning unit to meet accreditation standards.
• Provide student consultations.
• Use relevant and up to date examples and case studies to reflect current evidence-based practices.
• Assist in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned.
• If able participate on college committees and perform related duties and activities necessary to conduct the work of the area.
• Complete trainings for on-line instruction prior to teaching on-line courses.
• Other duties as assigned per the collective agreement.

Education

A master's degree in subject area is required.

OR

A master's degree or higher in a related field with a minimum of 20 graduate hours in the subject matter is required.

OR

30 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline as a part of a program leading to a

degree higher than a masters degree.

Ph.D. preferred
