Genesee Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach FYE100 - Foundations of Academic Success. This course presents techniques that help students cope successfully with the demands of college. Enlarges the student's awareness of self with respect to academic and personal goals, and assists each person to gain the necessary skills to succeed in college.



The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and learning, adaptability, a positive attitude and a willingness to embrace technology. This person will strive to create and maintain personal connections with students and the college community.



They must be a friendly, enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic who contributes to Genesee's supportive community, dedicated to effective innovative strategies for student success. Must demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as the ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment. Incumbent must be mindful of and develop solutions that can accommodate all individuals to use GCC facilities without barriers, both digitally and physically.



Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:



Master's Degree in a college discipline is required. Teaching experience in a community college is preferred. Incumbent will be required to instruct in person at the Batavia campus.

SALARY & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a part-time instructor position teaching at the Batavia Campus. This position pays a rate of $825 per contact or credit hour.
