The School of Business at Neumann University invites applications for Adjunct Instructors

of Mathematics to teach undergraduate mathematics courses during the Fall 2027 semester. (Note that these are math classes, not business math classes.) We seek student-centered educators who are committed to academic excellence, engaged learning, and supporting student success in a diverse learning environment. Courses may include, college algebra and/or introductory statistics, or other mathematics courses based on departmental needs. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to teach in person on the Neumann University campus

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned undergraduate mathematics courses.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging course content aligned with approved learning outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
  • Be available to students as needed.
  • Submit attendance, grades, and other required reports by established deadlines.
  • Utilize the University''s learning management system (CANVAS) and, if needed, instructional technologies.
  • Support the mission and values of Neumann University

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in mathematics or a closely related field and a graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate mathematics courses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Candidates must possess an appreciation for, congruence with, and commitment to the Franciscan mission of the University.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous college-level teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching in both traditional and technology-enhanced learning environments.
  • Availability to teach in-person courses.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
