Summary
The Adjunct Instructor, Radiography serves as a registered radiologic technologist responsible for supporting student learning and achievement within the Radiography Program. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Adjunct Instructor provides instruction and facilitates student learning experiences as assigned.
Adjunct faculty guide and direct student learning through subject matter expertise, professional practice, and effective instructional methods while maintaining accessibility to students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.
This is a part-time, faculty position.
Essential Functions
Instruction and Student Learning
- Provide instruction and facilitate student learning experiences as assigned.
- Demonstrate commitment to student achievement of program objectives, learning outcomes, and professional competencies.
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain course objectives aligned with curriculum and accreditation expectations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback regarding academic and clinical progress.
- Support didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction utilizing current evidence-based and professional best practices.
- Participate in implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of assigned courses and the educational program.
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge and skill proficiency within radiography practice and instructional technologies.
- Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
- Support open expression and diversity and demonstrate respect and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Discourage harassment, bullying, and unprofessional conduct directed toward colleagues, students, and campus visitors.
- Maintain required course records, attendance documentation, and student evaluation materials.
- Submit required reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Respond to communications from students, colleagues, Department Heads, Deans, Vice Presidents, Vice-Provost, Provost and President in a timely and professional manner.
- Advance the College mission and demonstrate commitment to the College's Core Values of Respect, Opportunity, Helpfulness, Integrity, and Excellence.
- Participate in required meetings, training, and professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair/Head.

Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Current certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in radiography or related professional discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and the mission of community colleges.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to establish collaborative and collegial working relationships.
Preferred education and experience:
- Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience in higher education, healthcare, or professional settings.
- Experience with instructional technologies and learning management systems.
- Experience teaching in classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical environments.

Work environment:
Work is performed primarily in classroom, laboratory, and office environments. The position may involve use of instructional technology, radiography simulation equipment, and standard educational and laboratory resources.
Physical demands:
Work may require standing, walking, speaking, demonstrating laboratory procedures and instructional activities, operating standard office and instructional equipment, and occasional lifting or movement of instructional materials and laboratory equipment. Travel required:
Limited travel may be required between college campuses and instructional locations to support assigned teaching responsibilities, meetings, training, and other college-related activities.
