Bethune-Cookman University Job Title: Assistant Professor of Mathematics Reporting Structure: Department Chair, Mathematics and Physics Division: Mathematics & Physics, College of Science, Engineering & Mathematics Duties/Responsibilities: • Teach undergraduate mathematics courses as assigned (such as developmental mathematics, college algebra, pre-calculus, or general education mathematics). • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and instructional materials. • Develop and administer quizzes, exams, assignments, and other assessments. • Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records. • Hold office hours or scheduled student support sessions as required. • Respond promptly to student questions and provide academic guidance. • Submit grades and required reports by university deadlines. • Utilize the Canvas learning management system and instructional technology. • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning. • Follow university policies and departmental procedures. • Participate in faculty meetings or professional development activities as requested Required Skills/Abilities:
