This position is responsible for performing machine setups in the grooving and/or sleeve cutting operations. Perform dimensional and visual checks on production machines. Assist production operators in maintaining quality production output.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
- Work closely with the scheduling department to maintain customer schedules and to complete setups in a safe, efficient manner.
- Remove all product from previous setup(s) and move to appropriate inventory or packaging location.
- Verify that the setup is producing good quality product at the specified production rate.
- Advise group leader or supervisor of quality related issues.
- Make sure that all products leaving the machine is properly identified with travel tickets and/or appropriate identification such as a reject tag.
- Verify that the Machine Operators have what they need to start running.
- Correct or report any safety hazards to supervisor.
- Correct or report all discrepancies or changes in work instructions to the QC Manager or supervisor.
- Work effectively with all team members to provide a continuous flow of product throughout the production.
- Perform all assigned tasks to the best of your ability to become a valuable contributing member of the company.
- All other duties as assigned.
- One year manufacturing experience and a satisfactory work history.
- High School Diploma required.
- Good communication skills, ability to read and understand work instructions required.
- Computer/micro-view proficiency desired.
- Experience with gauges, calipers, micrometers preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to do any combination of walking, standing or sitting and bending throughout the day.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds repetitively.
- Repetitive fine manipulation and good hand/eye coordination is required.
- Visual ability to distinguish discrete cosmetic defects form functional defects.

Competitive Compensation
- Pay Range: $17.66/hr to $19.49/hr
