Summary

Job Summary

The Administrative Director of Business Development, Physician Relations and Recruitment seeks new business opportunities and service lines for the Hospital.  Develops, coordinates and implements plans designed to increase volumes of existing service lines and develop new opportunities.  Works on strategic marketing and operations planning with top Administrators and Executives, setting objectives and identifying methods to reach those goals.  Oversees physician recruitment and relations. Responsible for overseeing the El Paso County Hospital District employed physician practices, including UMC El Paso Healthcare, Inc. and the Neighborhood Healthcare Centers.  

Minimum Job Requirements

Work Experience:

Five years progressive management healthcare experience, in a member/customer service, operations, network development, and/or

Marketing setting required. Experience in a finance environment preferred. 

 

License/Registration/Certification:

None.

Education and Training:

Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or Healthcare related field required.  Master degree in related field preferred.                       

Skills:

  1. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  2. Well-developed financial analysis capabilities.
  3. Ability to train, supervise and evaluate the performance of others.
  4. Knowledge of health insurance and managed care of government programs preferred.
  5. Knowledge of organizational growth initiatives related to regional markets and target customer segments, as well as the potential to meet customer needs with service.
  6. Integrate marketing, operations and financial knowledge to achieve organizational goals
  7. Predict and manage change through innovative methods
  8. Assess risk using financial, statistical and economic data, and create manageable solutions
