Job Description Job Description We are seeking an Administration Assistant to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in the office of Good Shepherd Episcopal church. Good judgement and discretion regarding pastoral confidentiality is critical to this position. The individual selected serves as the front line church contact by phone and in-person. Scheduled hours areMonday-Friday with not more than 20 hours per week on average. Office hours are generally 9:30-1:30 but may be negotiated slightly.Responsibilities:Draft correspondences and other formal documentsPlan and schedule church appointments and eventsGreet and assist onsite guestsAnswer inbound telephone callsCreates and distributes weekly church announcement by e-mailPrepares and prints worship bulletins and insertsMaintains a parishdatabase of membersDevelops a monthly church newsletter and mails out to parishionersSorts, labels and mails the bulk mailings per USPS specificationKeeps Office Manager aware of office supply requestsAssists with informational needs of families for funerals, weddings and special eventsPerform all other office tasksQualifications:Previous experience in office administration or other related fieldsAbility to prioritize and multitaskPolite written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (database, spreadsheets, e-mail, word processing, etc.)Company Description An Episcopal Church serving the Wichita community.
