The Division of Corporations, Business & Professional Licensing, is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 1 located in Anchorage!
What you will be doing:

This position is intended to support licensing activities and offers an excellent opportunity for the incumbent to learn about professional licensing and prepare for the next step in their career with us. The role provides technical and administrative support for the State of Alaska's Professional Licensing section and involves working with a wide variety of processes that use multiple technologies, proprietary software, applications, and media specific to the licensing unit.
In addition to core licensing responsibilities, this position also serves as backup support to the administrative team and will work directly with customers both in person and via phone and email ensuring they receive timely, accurate, and professional assistance.

The working conditions you can expect:
Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing is in downtown Anchorage on the 15th floor of the Alaska State Office Building.
Workstations have new furniture and ergonomic lifting desktops. The daily work environment is fast paced with priorities continuously changing. This position will work in the office supporting licensure for multiple programs and acting as a backup to the Admin team.

Minimum Qualifications
Six months of advanced clerical experience. This experience includes work such as Office Assistant 2, Accounting Clerk, and similar classes with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.
OR
Six months of any combination of post-secondary education, vocational education, and/or advanced-level clerical experience. (Three semester or four quarter hours of post-secondary education are equal to one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education are equal to one month of experience.)
