Mission: To assist persons with disabilities in their desire to obtain, maintain, or advance I competitive integrated employment and achieve independence in their community by providing rehabilitation services and working cooperatively with businesses and other community resources.
The Administrative Assistant 5 serves as a high-level support professional responsible for managing advanced administrative functions that ensure the efficient operation of the department. This role helps the department fulfill its mission of supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment and independence.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of experience or training in clerical work.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:
As an Administrative Assistant 5 you will:
Serve as a confidential assistant to the Executive Director of Statewide Services.
Supports executives and leadership by coordinating critical office activities, overseeing key administrative processes, managing data and records, and interpreting departmental policies for staff and the public.
Play a central role in maintaining organizational operations, supporting decision-making through data collection and analysis, and assisting in special projects, meetings, and personnel-related tasks.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational Appointment or a Promotion if you are a Permanent State Employee.
