Description
Veritas Planning Advisors is a tech-forward CPA firm serving professionals and growing businesses with tax planning and preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial advisory services. The team combines strong client service with efficient processes to help clients stay organized, informed, and prepared throughout the year.
As an Administrative Assistant, you will play an important role in keeping daily operations running smoothly and supporting the work that helps clients and internal teams stay on track. This role is well suited to someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable working across administrative and client-facing tasks in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare client documents, organize records, and maintain accurate administrative files.
Assist with billing, data entry, and general bookkeeping-related administrative tasks.
Assemble and process tax returns for both electronic and hard copy delivery to clients.
Compose, maintain and update client engagement letters.
Arrange spreadsheets and miscellaneous reports as requested.
Assist with drafting new client forms.
Assist with tax workflow tracking and act as a liaison for tax staff to ensure these are addressed & meet deadlines.
Answer phones and emails while providing professional support to clients and staff.
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate daily office activities efficiently.
Assist with various other administrative assignments and special projects as they arise including mailings, faxing, filing, copying, scanning, etc.
Requirements
Associate degree or coursework in accounting.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
Experience with QuickBooks and billing tools.
Experience answering client calls and emails in a professional office setting.
Experience handling scheduling and follow-ups in a professional office.
2-5 years of experience in an administrative or office management role is required; a CPA firm or similar professional services environment is preferred
Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and problem-solving skills.
Genuine interest in learning new skills and applying technology to work smarter
