The Administrative Assistant To coordinate activities of the Center for Academics as outlined below and assist the administration, faculty, and staff in achieving effectiveness of the Center.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Open and/or close the Academic Center.
Assist students when requesting to meet with instructors.
Answer telephones, maintain paper in all of the Academic Center copiers on a daily basis, communicate with team regarding office and breakroom supply needs.
Provide professional customer service and share information in line with academic policies.
Retrieve the department mail weekly.
Schedule meetings, keep class materials filed on a timely basis, and maintain professionalism when interacting with faculty, staff and students.
Submit facility work orders from faculty when requested.
Assist with staffing the Testing Center, serving as proctor monitoring students and exam timing.
Ensure the Testing Center environment is quiet, organized, and properly set up daily and at the end of testing.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters which pertain to faculty, staff, and/or students (student records, grades, academic or disciplinary actions, attendance, etc.).
Prepare and/or coordinate completion:
LDA list during trimester
End of trimester electronic materials from faculty
Copy and prepare trimester paper exams (including lab practicals and finals) for faculty; work with Student Affairs representative on pulling exams for those students with approved testing accommodations.
Complete all other assignments as directed by the Dean of Academics, College of
Chiropractic, and Academic Center Office Manager, in a timely, cooperative manner.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years responsible administrative experience.
Minimum of four (4) years of customer service.
General office experience including multi-line phones.
Proficient with MS Office and Adobe software products.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Excellent customer service skills; professional appearance; legible handwriting; good organizational skills; good grammar, good phone and in-person etiquette.
Self-starter with ability to work with little supervision and works well independently.
Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them.
Adhere to appropriate professional dress and demeanor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.
