    Description

    The Administrative Assistant III for Partners for Advancing Health Equity (P4HE) provides administrative support for the operations of a large-scale national collaborative. P4HE coordinates events across the nation, including retreats, trainings, and conferences. The Administrative Assistant III assists with calendar management, communications, and expense tracking while collaborating with the P4HE team, external vendors, key administrators, and other offices at Tulane. Responsibilities include scheduling, managing mailing lists, drafting communication materials, processing invoices, and performing other duties as assigned.

    The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, a strong willingness to learn, excellent organizational skills, strong written communication and grammar skills, proficiency with spreadsheets, and experience working in an academic environment.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of relevant work experience.

    OR

    • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certifications.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience working in academic settings
    • Experience in Public Health and/or Health Communications
    • Experience working in a professional/administrative setting
    • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
    • Experience adhering to timelines and workflows
    • Experience coordinating and managing calendars and scheduling in-person and virtual meetings
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat/PDF tools and project management software.

    REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK:

    Selected candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check as a condition of employment. The background investigation will be conducted after a conditional offer has been extended.

    • Experience working in a professional/administrative setting

    • Experience adhering to timelines and workflows
