MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent. 2-year college degree in accounting, finance or other related field desired
- 3-5 years of experience in Payroll / Benefits required
- Must be able to pass various pre-placement background screenings
- Computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and other school district record keeping software
- Proficient verbal communication, proofreading and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees, staff and the public
- Must be highly organized to meet critical deadlines and prioritize work projects
- Ability to work with office equipment including office machines, telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc.
- School district experience desired
- Time clock system administration experience desired
- I-Visions accounting system experience desired
- Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows district policy and procedures to work effectively with Finance, Human Resources and District Staff
- Assists in monthly payroll processes
- Assists in reconciling payroll liabilities
- Import/input and track attendance for all district employees
- Track employee FMLA leaves, workers comp and other district leaves
- Complete Employment Verifications
- Manage time clock system for Educational Support Staff
- Track COBRA
- Enter all employee voluntary deductions
- Enter additional pay for staff
- Enter new hire packets information and transfers
- Provide various reports based on deadlines
- Assist with employee benefits posting
- Assists in customer service duties for Financial Services
- Assists supervisors in the completion of special assigned duties
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
