REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in the use of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Google. PowerSchool experience preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate and process data in a timely and accurate manner. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines accurately and precisely. Self-directed with the ability to perform job tasks with a minimum of supervision.
  • Customer service oriented with strong writing and verbal skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with staff and students.
  • Ability to recognize problem areas, seek and provide solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Demonstrate a sincere liking for people of all ages and ability to resolve their concerns without sacrificing objectivity for the needs of the organization.
  • Demonstrate qualities of loyalty and appreciation for confidentiality in relationships with the supervisor and the organization.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma required. Associate degree or higher preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as confidential assistant to the principal.
  • Student maintenance through PowerSchool.
  • Develop and maintain a roster for the Michigan Care Improvement Registry program.
  • Manage student attendance/truancy, provide nutrition department with lunch information on a daily basis, monitor all transportation changes on a daily basis.
  • Organize events including but not limited to: Kindergarten Round-Up, First Day of School Packets, assist with school wide fundraiser.
  • General clerical duties including but not limited to: telephone calls, sort and distribute incoming mail, maintain student records, photocopying, filing, greet visitors, assist teachers/staff, students and parents.
  • Attend annually medication training, maintain list of students with health concerns, maintain list of students requiring medication, administer student medication.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the principal.

SALARY:

In accordance with the current WBAAA Master Agreement (Classification 37 - starting salary is $18.27 per hour)

SCHEDULE:

8 hours per day, M-F
