BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to provide complex clerical support to a division. This is accomplished by greeting and referring customers and callers, taking messages, answering questions and providing assistance and information, processing requests for services, preparing reports and payment requests, maintaining budget information, and completing related clerical tasks. Additional duties include processing documents, payments and invoices, entering data, maintaining inventories, opening and distributing mail, interacting with customers and vendors, filing, and maintaining department records.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Pre-employment keyboarding test (typing speed) minimum score is 35 wpm.
This position has been deemed Mission Essential and will be required to report to work during all inclement weather conditions.

1 L Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice
2 S Assists callers by answering the phone, taking messages, and referring callers to the appropriate department or individual.
3 S Provides clerical support by assisting patrons or customers, providing general or specific information, processing requests for services, researching information, compiling information, maintaining general office records which could include time and attendance, processing the mail, and assisting with other services.
4 S Completes and distributes department documents and budget information by compiling and reviewing information, presenting information for review and approval, completing reports and distributing to appropriate departments or parties.
5 S Maintains department inventories by reviewing items on hand, assisting with purchases, and ordering general supplies.

Vocational/ Educational Preparation Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.

Communications Requirements Reads routine sentences, instructions, regulations, procedures, or work orders; writes routine sentences and completes routine job forms and incident reports; speaks routine sentences using proper grammar.
