The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Security department is currently seeking a Security Officer. The Security Officer protects associates, visitors, facilities and company assets through proactive security operations, emergency response, access control, facility patrols and exceptional customer service. Security Officers serve as a visible security presence throughout the campus and play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment. This is a great opportunity for former law enforcement and military veterans.

The pay rate for this position is $25.50 an hour. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be Ready To:

• Conduct security patrols of buildings, grounds and parking areas.
• Monitor security cameras, access control systems and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies and other calls for service.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Answer telephone calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with corporate safety and security guidelines.
• Support emergency preparedness, evacuations and crisis response activities.
• Operate the Security Command Center and coordinate officer response activities when assigned.
• Support special events, investigations and departmental security initiatives.

• Minimum 5 years of law enforcement, military police, public safety, federal law enforcement, corrections or comparable corporate security experience.
• Ability to lawfully carry a concealed firearm.
• Successful completion of a state or federal firearms course, law enforcement academy or comparable military training.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of security systems, access control systems and computer applications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week:
• First shift: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
• Every other weekend off.
