General Function

Performs a variety of complex administrative and technical tasks including collecting and summarizing data,

managingdatabases and editing reports.

Duties and Responsibilities

CharacteristicsDuties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collects and summarizes research data for reports; coordinates preparation of reports; reviews for accuracy;

makes any necessary edits.

  1. Organizes and prepares annual data; collects and summarizes data for end-users; answers data-related

inquiries.

  1. Prepares andmaintainscomputer databases; maintains files of raw data used in preparing reports.

4.Reviewsfigures afterenteredintodatabases; makes any necessary adjustments.

  1. Responds to any inquiries that the external constituencies might haveregardingreports.

  2. Coordinates activities; ensures smooth flow of operations; recommends improvements in policies and

procedures.

7.Establishesschedules and assigns project tasks; monitors projects to ensure deadlines are met; reviews

completed tasks andensuresthat any necessary corrections are made.

  1. Uses software tomaintaindatabases and create presentations.Assistswith focus group setups and

telephone follow-up.

  1. Performs other departmental administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and completion of 36 semester units of college-level coursework from a regionally accredited institution; or a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of full-time work experience in an administrative or administrative support role; or a combination of education and work experience, asstated, totaling 2 years.
