Description

Job Title: HR Specialist - Leave Analyst (Remote)
Type: Temporary - 3 months
Compensation: $25- $30
Work Model: Remote – offsite
Hours: Monday through Friday from either 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET

Overview: Responsible for the administration of leave of Absence and disability programs. Serve as first point of contact for leave of absence requests and application process. Act as a liaison between employees and disability vendors. Assist employees with disability questions, issues and complaints. Resolve moderately complex to difficult issues with minimal guidance. This position requires high level of confidentiality, excellent communication and organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Administer leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FMLA, Disability, ADA/ADAAA, USERRA, and applicable paid leave laws.
  • Collaborate with HR, Employee Relations, managers, and employees in the interactive process to support reasonable accommodation requests and return-to-work planning.
  • Oversee the return-to-work process and coordinate with manager, talent leader, and employee relation functions
  • Generate and distribute reports to functional areas relating to leave of absence
  • Conduct HR operational transactions in the HR systems and applications that support disability cases
  • Resolve employee questions and issues in a timely manner
  • Project manage prompt and complete resolution of technical challenges, collaborating with other teams to get the job done effectively and efficiently.
  • Serve as an informational resource for leave and disability
  • Partner with leave and disability vendors to monitor claim activity, resolve escalations, ensure adherence to service level agreements, and provide positive employee experience.
  • Proactively identify policy and process improvement opportunities to deliver enhanced customer services to the organization
  • Back up other HR Central team members, as needed
  • Perform additional HR tasks and/or special projects, as assigned.
  • Manage an assigned caseload of leave and disability cases from intake through return-to-work, ensuring timely administration and regulatory compliance.
    Requirements
    • Associate’s degree in human resources or related field.
    • Minimum one year of LOA administration experience
    • Minimum three years of customer service experience
    • Working knowledge of federal and state leave laws.
    • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday preferred.
    • Strong foundational knowledge of HR, Benefits and Payroll concepts and ability to learn and retain policies and business processes.
    • Ability to work 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern, Monday through Friday.
    • Ability to learn and use technology to perform job requirements, including MS Office, Workday, CostPoint, TESS, Chat platform, and case management via Service Cloud/Salesforce.
    • Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills
    • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Resilience and ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
