• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $35.68 $39.68 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day (4x10 Hours), 7:00 AM 5:30 PM; alternating 10-hour shifts on Fridays and Mondays, 10-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, and coverage when the OR front desk caregiver is on PTO
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This role supports the OR front desk at a healthcare facility in Anchorage, AK, coordinating the daily surgery schedule and facilitating communication between OR Charge RNs, staff surgeons, and anesthesiologists. The assignment includes an option for conversion to permanent staff if the assignment is successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily surgery schedule from the OR front desk
• Communicate with OR Charge RN, staff surgeons, and anesthesiologists
• Watch the schedule and progression updates, then call in staff and coordinate accordingly
• Field discussions with surgeons throughout the day, along with incoming phone calls
• Alert room turns and cleans, and manage OR workflows
• Handle calls to add items to the schedule (trained to schedule, though scheduling is a subset of daily duties)
• Sit with OR charge nurse and leads that are in and out throughout the day
• Provide coverage when the OR front desk caregiver is on PTO

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Option for conversion to permanent staff if assignment is successful
• Orientation policy: For long-term non-clinical providers (assignments 13 weeks or more), the first 8 hours of orientation are non-billable. For short-term non-clinical providers (assignments less than 13 weeks), all orientation is billable.
