About the Position

The Admissions & Marketing Director plays a key role in connecting prospective residents and families with Southern Utah Veterans Home while building strong relationships throughout the Southern Utah healthcare community.

This position manages the facility's inquiry and admission process and develops effective sales, marketing, community outreach, and referral-development strategies.

You'll work closely with facility leadership, healthcare providers, hospitals, families, community organizations, and referral partners to promote the services and programs available at Southern Utah Veterans Home.

What You'll Do

• Manage inquiries and admissions from initial referral through admission, providing timely communication and follow-up with residents, families, and referral sources.
• Provide facility tours and help prospective residents and families understand our services and programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, healthcare organizations, senior organizations, and community partners.
• Develop and implement marketing and business-development strategies designed to strengthen referral relationships and support facility census.
• Maintain consistent communication with referral sources regarding facility services, availability, resources, and resident needs.
• Work closely with the Administrator, nursing leadership, Business Office, and other departments to evaluate prospective admissions and coordinate smooth transitions into the facility.
• Track inquiries, admissions, referrals, census trends, and marketing efforts to identify opportunities for continued growth.
• Participate in community outreach, educational events, networking opportunities, and other activities that increase awareness of Southern Utah Veterans Home.
• Build relationships with home health, hospice, rehabilitation providers, dialysis centers, medical providers, and other healthcare and community resources.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is outgoing, organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about building relationships.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
• Previous experience in sales, marketing, admissions, business development, or a related position
• Healthcare marketing or community-relations experience preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain goal-directed
• Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and payer sources, or the ability to learn
• Formal sales training, adult training, or team-building experience preferred
• Experience with advertising, promotional materials, or marketing collateral preferred
