Position Summary
The Admissions Representative is responsible for student recruitment, enrollment, and pre-enrollment engagement at Jean Madeline Institute. This position guides prospective students through the admissions process, provides information about programs and schedules, conducts interviews and tours, and works closely with the admissions and financial aid teams to support successful enrollment.
Essential Job Functions
Including but not limited to:
- Represent Jean Madeline Institute professionally to prospective students and their families and provide accurate information about programs, schedules, admissions requirements, and the enrollment process.
- Conduct prospective student interviews and institute tours and guide candidates through the admissions and enrollment process.
- Generate, document, track, and consistently follow up with prospective students throughout the admissions process.
- Maintain accurate and timely information in the candidate database and prepare reports as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with accepted students through the start of their program to support engagement and successful enrollment.
- Work closely with the Admissions Committee and Financial Aid team to address enrollment questions and challenges.
- Administer and proctor the Cosmetology Aptitude Test in accordance with established procedures.
- Support recruitment, outreach, and other admissions initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established admissions procedures, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, accountability, and a commitment to providing an exceptional prospective student experience.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-high school education preferred.
- Two to four years of related experience preferred, particularly in admissions, recruiting, outreach, sales, customer service, or another relationship-focused role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and follow-through skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn databases and other systems.
- Professional, polished appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel to local fairs, community events, and other recruitment activities using reliable personal transportation.
