POSITION SUMMARY The Admissions Student Ambassador serves as an official student representative of Bennett College and plays an integral role in the College's recruitment and enrollment efforts. Student Ambassadors provide prospective students, families, school counselors, and visitors with an authentic perspective of the Bennett experience while representing the College with professionalism, enthusiasm, and pride. Student Ambassadors will support the Office of Admissions through campus tours, recruitment events, student panels, prospective student communication, special events, and other enrollment initiatives. Ambassadors should be knowledgeable about Bennett College, engaged in campus life, and committed to helping prospective students see themselves as future Belles. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment & Enrollment - Serve as a student representative of Bennett College during recruitment activities.
- Assist Admissions staff with prospective student recruitment events, open houses, yield events, Accepted Student Days, preview days, college fairs, and special programs.
- Share personal experiences about academics, campus life, student organizations, residence life, traditions, and the overall Bennett experience.
- Engage prospective students and families in meaningful conversations about Bennett.
- Assist with follow-up and outreach to prospective and admitted students, as directed by Admissions.
- Encourage prospective students to take the next step in their enrollment journey.
Campus Tours & Visitor Experience - Lead engaging and informative campus tours for prospective students and families.
- Welcome visitors and help create a positive first impression of Bennett College.
- Serve as a host for prospective students during individual visits and recruitment events.
- Provide accurate information and refer questions outside of the Ambassador's knowledge to Admissions staff.
- Help ensure that prospective students and families feel welcomed, valued, and connected to the Bennett community.
Student Panels & Events - Participate in student panels and recruitment presentations.
- Represent the student perspective during admissions programs and virtual events.
- Assist with event setup, registration, hospitality, wayfinding, and other event responsibilities.
- Participate in admitted-student and yield activities designed to encourage enrollment.
Social Media & Student Voice - Participate in approved Admissions social media and digital recruitment initiatives.
- Assist in creating authentic student-centered content that showcases the Bennett experience.
- Share approved recruitment messages through personal networks and social platforms when appropriate.
- Serve as a positive and responsible digital representative of Bennett College.
Campus Knowledge & Professional Development - Maintain current knowledge of Bennett College programs, traditions, student organizations, campus resources, and admissions processes.
- Attend required Ambassador training and meetings.
- Participate in professional development opportunities related to recruitment, customer service, public speaking, and leadership.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic admissions terminology and processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle information related to prospective students and families.
QUALIFICATIONS Required: - Currently enrolled Bennett College student in good standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for Bennett College.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to participate in required training and recruitment activities.
Preferred: - Active involvement in campus organizations, leadership, performing arts, or other campus activities.
- Previous customer service, hospitality, public speaking, or recruitment experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Bennett College student experience.
- Comfortable speaking to both small and large groups.
- Experience using social media or creating digital content.
AMBASSADORS EXPECTATIONS Student Ambassadors are expected to: - Knowledgeable, welcoming, and professional at all times while representing Bennett.
- Arrive on time and prepared for assigned shifts and events.
- Wear approved Ambassador attire or appropriate professional attire when required.
- Use accurate and approved information when communicating with prospective students.
- Never make promises regarding admission, financial aid, housing, scholarships, or other College decisions.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of prospective students and families.
- Communicate questions or concerns to Admissions staff rather than providing information outside their role.
- Maintain good academic and conduct standing to remain eligible to serve.
