What you’ll do
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment and machining tools to produce precision components to spec.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to fabricate, prototype, modify, and rework parts, fixtures, and assemblies.
- Team up with engineers and production to troubleshoot, enhance processes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Perform meticulous inspections and measurements to ensure quality and compliance.
- Uphold safety, organization, and equipment readiness through routine maintenance and housekeeping.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years in machining/fabrication with hands-on CNC programming experience.
- Training as a machining technician, machine operator, or lathe operator (required).
- Advanced blueprint reading capability; strong literacy and math skills.
- Experience using dial indicators, micrometers, and gauges.
Environment and physical demands
- Frequent walking, reaching, and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regular climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders; comfortable working on elevated platforms and overhead when needed.
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close/distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled areas and, as required, in inclement weather.

Location and compensation
Location: Sacramento, CA
Starting hourly rate: $23.40–$31.66. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
