Advanced Manufacturing Rotational Internship (High School)

Program Overview

The Advanced Manufacturing Rotational Internship Program is a paid, year‑long development experience designed for rising high‑school seniors who want to build technical skills, explore career paths, and gain meaningful experience before graduation. The program begins with an 8-week summer rotation focused on learning and exploring, followed by three 8-week project rotations during the Fall and Spring that are designed to accommodate your school schedule.

Who Should Apply?

• Rising high‑school seniors who are part of a career/technical program, such as a career center, that allows work placement.
• Students who are curious about manufacturing and skilled trades; including mechanical, electrical, or other technical concepts and careers.
• Students seeking real‑world experience and long‑term career opportunities through hands-on learning.

Rotation Summaries:

Physical Requirements

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally as part of daily tasks.
• Ability to perform regular walking, standing, and basic movements such as bending, reaching, and light climbing.
• Ability to use hand–eye coordination for a variety of responsibilities, including working with tools, equipment, and simple tasks that require attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and assist with operating machines or equipment under supervision.
