What You'll Be Engaged In
  • Performing comprehensive assessments of patients while ordering essential diagnostic tests and developing personalized care strategies
  • Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians (based on credentialing)
  • Empowering patients and families through education on wellness, prevention, and disease management
  • Prescribing necessary therapies and medications within your scope of practice
  • Engaging in patient follow-up and effective chronic care management
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless and holistic care
  • Documenting care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background Required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the District of Columbia
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required within 90 days of hire)
