Are you ready to take your accounting and finance expertise to the next level? As a Senior Manager on our Office of the CFO Advisory team, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with leading real estate clients to transform their accounting operations, elevate financial reporting, and empower smarter decision-making. You’ll work side-by-side with CFOs and finance leaders across the real estate lifecycle—helping them scale processes, implement innovative technology, and gain the clarity they need to drive sustainable growth. 

This is a dynamic, high-impact role that blends hands-on client leadership with strategic advisory work. You’ll lead complex accounting and finance engagements, guide clients through transformative change, and build long-term partnerships based on trust, insight, and measurable results. Beyond client work, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Real Estate advisory practice—mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders who will carry our vision forward.

Client Advisory & Engagement Leadership 

  • Lead Controller or CFO-level advisory engagements for real estate clients, delivering strategic accounting and financial guidance 

  • Oversee outsourced accounting engagements, ensuring accurate, timely, and high‑quality deliverables 

  • Analyze financial performance, including KPIs, cash flow, and profitability, and provide actionable recommendations 

  • Support client budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts 

  • Partner with client leadership to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting structures 

 

Real Estate Accounting & Industry Focus 

  • Apply deep understanding of real estate accounting, including property‑level reporting and portfolio considerations 

  • Advise clients on accounting operations, close processes, and financial reporting best practices 

  • Collaborate with internal specialists across revenue cycle, payroll, cost reporting, and tax to deliver integrated solutions 

  • Support clients through system implementations, process improvements, and operational transformations 

 

Client Relationship Management 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client executives 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships by understanding client goals and tailoring solutions accordingly 

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders on engagement progress, risks, and outcomes 

 

Business Development & Practice Growth 

  • Identify opportunities to expand advisory services within existing real estate client relationships 

  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and go‑to‑market initiatives 

  • Support the continued growth and development of the Real Estate, Office of the CFO, Advisory practice 

 

People Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Manage, mentor, and develop engagement team members 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning 

  • Share expertise and support the development of team capabilities across the practice 

  • Collaborate across consulting disciplines to deliver client‑focused solutions 

Who You Are

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business 

  • 8+ years of experience in public or private accounting, with real estate client experience 

  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or similar) preferred 

  • Proven ability to lead client engagements and cross‑functional initiatives 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and relationship‑building skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executive audiences 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior experience in a consulting or advisory firm 

  • Experience supporting CFO‑level stakeholders in a client‑service environment

Estimated Base Range: Estimated Salary Range:  $120,000 - $170,000
