Controller (AEC Industry)


Salary: $130,000 – $140,000 + Bonus
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities of the Controller



  • Lead all accounting operations including month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations

  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements

  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations

  • Drive process improvements and accounting efficiencies across the organization

  • Support audits, tax compliance, and external reporting requirements



Qualifications for the Controller



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities

  • AEC industry experience required

  • Deltek Vantagepoint experience required

  • Strong understanding of project accounting, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition

  • Experience leading accounting teams and improving processes

  • CPA preferred but not required
