Aerospace CNC Machinist 3Rd Shift

Job SummaryWe're looking for a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools used to manufacture and repair critical aerospace components. In this role, you'll machine parts to precise specifications, inspect finished products, and help ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of components that support the aviation industry.

Shift: 3rd shift, Monday-Friday 11:00p-7:00aUnion: This position is represented by Local 475.Shift Differential:15%Starting Rate: $37.05/hrTraining: New hires must be available to train on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:00p for a minimum of 90 days before transitioning to their regularly assigned shift.

What You'll Be Doing

Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools to manufacture and repair aerospace components.Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications to perform machining operations accurately.Machine components to precise dimensions and tolerances using established machining methods and procedures.Inspect and verify finished work using precision measuring instruments and gauges.Follow all safety, quality, and operational requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.Support cross-training, continuous improvement initiatives, and other production duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent required.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical work instructions.Knowledge of shop mathematics, machining principles, and metalworking processes.Experience operating CNC machining equipment.Ability to use precision measuring and inspection instruments.

Nice to Have

Five (5) years of machine shop experience.Experience operating both CNC and manual machining equipment.Experience with CNC grinders, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, VTLs, internal grinders, or external grinders.Aerospace manufacturing, repair, or precision machining experience.Familiarity with tight-tolerance machining and inspection requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the workday.Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30 pounds.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety requirements.
