Responsibilities

Structure, negotiate, and close complex affordable housing transactions
Advise on Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and tax-exempt bond financings
Manage layered public-private financing structures involving multiple funding sources
Draft and negotiate partnership agreements, loan documents, and related transaction materials
Coordinate closings across lenders, investors, developers, and governmental entities

Qualifications

2–7 years of transactional experience in affordable housing, real estate, project finance, or a related practice
Admission to the Florida Bar, or eligibility for admission
Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
Excellent analytical, organizational, and drafting skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions with multiple stakeholders

Why Join

Practice Growth and Stability

This role is part of a strategic expansion of the practice, which is experiencing sustained demand in the South Florida affordable housing market. The team is actively growing to support a robust and consistent deal pipeline.

Direct Partner Access and Defined Advancement

Associates work closely with partners in a collaborative, low-leverage environment. The firm offers a transparent partnership track, with formal evaluation and progression milestones beginning within the first several years of practice.

Competitive Compensation Structure

The position offers a base salary starting at approximately $215,000, with discretionary bonuses tied to a 1,900-hour benchmark. The firm has a strong history of profit distributions. Additionally, practicing in Florida provides a meaningful tax advantage due to the absence of state income tax.

Strong Training and Professional Development

The practice is recognized for developing attorneys from adjacent disciplines into accomplished affordable housing practitioners. Partners are actively engaged in mentorship and training, supporting long-term professional growth.

Sophisticated, Impact-Driven Work

Attorneys in this role will work on complex LIHTC, tax-exempt bond, and public-private financing transactions that contribute to the development of affordable housing communities. The practice offers a combination of technical sophistication and meaningful social impact.
