Position Title: After School Program Instructor
Location: Guntersville Elementary School
Pay Type: Hourly - Non-Exempt; Retirement: RSA (if applicable)
Reports To: Chief Academic Officer/After School Program Director
Contract Work Year: 177 Days

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
Valid Alabama educator certification preferred.
Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457.
Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to use technology to communicate, maintain records, manage data, and prepare reports.
Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities.
Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, goals, and priorities.
Supports all daily operations of the after-school and summer programs.
Adheres to schedules, procedures, and enrichment opportunities designed to meet program goals.
Ensures a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students and staff.
Maintains class attendance records, inventories, and required documentation.
Engages in positive communication with parents and community partners.
Ensures compliance with district policies, grant requirements, and state and federal regulations.
Collaborates with school administrators and instructional staff to support student success.
Maintains confidentiality regarding student, school, workplace, and personnel matters.
Maintains and submits required reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.
Demonstrates professional ethics, sound judgment, and leadership.
Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local laws.
Performs any other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).
Compensation:
Hourly rate established annually by Board approval.
