Afternoon Teacher Assistant Monday-Friday 230-6pm

About the Role:
Harmony Early Learning Center is looking for a warm, energetic, and dedicated Afternoon Teacher Assistant to join our team in Secaucus, NJ! Responsibilities:

• Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate learning activities
• Supervise and engage children during afternoon routines, including snack time, rest time, and play
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all children
• Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance using positive reinforcement techniques
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during afternoon pick-up
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space
• Observe and report on children's developmental progress and daily needs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass a background check and meet NJ childcare licensing requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to afternoon shift availability
