Ag Lender

A local bank in Monte Vista is hiring an Ag Lender to serve potato, barley, and cattle operations throughout Rio Grande County and the San Luis Valley. The role covers prospecting, analysis, loan structuring, closing, and ongoing servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Expand the farm loan book by visiting growers, ranchers, and ag businesses
• Analyze financial statements and cash flow on new and renewing credits
• Structure operating lines and livestock, equipment, and real estate loans
• Inspect collateral and complete yearly credit reviews
• Cross-sell deposit and other services to ag clients
• Keep current on water, commodity, and input cost trends in the valley

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Agriculture, Ag Economics, or Finance preferred
• Track record in ag lending or ag credit
• Knowledge of irrigated farming and cattle operations
• Trusted relationship builder with producers
• Organized and able to work independently
