Americo is seeking a full-time Agent Services Representative to join our team.

The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, on site at our downtown Kansas City, MO office location.

Overview

This role serves as a single point of contact for Agents and Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), supporting a wide range of business processes including product knowledge, system support, licensing and contracting, commissions, agent debt, new business, and underwriting. This position plays a key role in ensuring agent needs are met through timely communication, coordination across departments, and a strong commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Agents and Independent Marketing Organizations with phone inquiries related to licensing, new business, commissions, and agent debt.
  • Respond to email requests for information or assistance from agents and partners.
  • Facilitate communication and tasks across departments to ensure agent needs and service level expectations are met.
  • Provide sales support including product and system information, running illustrations, placing orders, and completing applications.
  • Make proactive outbound calls to new and existing agents to promote Americo products and encourage sales activity.

Required Qualifications

  • Full knowledge of insurance contracts and general insurance principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong desire to engage with others over the phone.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute with the ability to document efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency and ability to resolve issues quickly while building rapport.
  • Positive, courteous, and patient demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, and constantly evolving environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong phone presence, grammar, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization.
  • Independent problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance, customer service, or contact center environments.
  • Familiarity with agent support processes, licensing, or commission structures.
