Agile Product Owner / Product Analyst IV

Pay Rate: $75.00 - $80.00per hr.
Our client is seeking a highly organized and execution-driven Agile Product Owner / Product Analyst to support a new initiative focused on building an internal CRM platform from the ground up as part of a broader modernization effort. This role is a hybrid of Product Management, Product Ownership, and Business Analysis, with a strong emphasis on driving delivery, structuring development work, and leading user-centered discovery. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in ambiguity, excels at breaking down complex problems, and partners closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality product outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is prioritized and aligned to business needs
- Write and refine user stories, epics, and detailed acceptance criteria
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured, and actionable development work
- Lead product discovery efforts, including:
- User interviews
- Journey mapping
- Workflow/process analysis
- Drive product initiatives from concept through delivery
- Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure clarity and execution
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, etc.)
- Bring structure and organization to ambiguous product and development efforts
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field and ten (10) years of relevant experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or business operations/product line
- 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis
- Strong experience writing user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
- Proven ability to drive product initiatives end-to-end
- Strong business analysis and requirements decomposition skills
- Experience organizing and structuring development work from a product perspective
- Hands-on experience working with engineering teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating as a Lead Product Owner or owning delivery across initiatives
- Experience with modernization efforts (legacy system transformation, platform rebuilds)
- Experience building or launching new products/platforms (greenfield)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Exposure to CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
- Experience working across multiple roles (Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Scrum Master)
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with tools like Jira or similar SDLC platforms is a plus, but not required
- Certifications (CSPO, SAFe, etc.) are nice to have but not required
