A large enterprise organization is investing heavily in enterprise AI initiatives and modern architecture to support the next generation of intelligent applications and business capabilities. They are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect with a strong background in enterprise architecture who can help define and implement AI strategies while guiding the adoption of modern architectural patterns across the organization. This is a highly visible role partnering with executive leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to shape the future technology landscape.

Job Description:
The Senior Enterprise Architect, AI will lead the design and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies that enable scalable AI adoption across the organization. This individual will work closely with engineering leadership, architects, and business stakeholders to evaluate emerging AI technologies, define architectural standards, and ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly into the broader enterprise ecosystem. Success in this role requires a strong foundation in enterprise architecture principles combined with an understanding of modern AI technologies and implementation strategies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable evaluating AI platforms, Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI solutions, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise integration patterns while providing architectural leadership across multiple technology initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of recent experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solutions Architect
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale architecture strategies across large organizations
  • Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and modern distributed system design
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kubernetes, and containerized applications
  • Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise AI strategies and AI-enabled platforms
  • Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, AI copilots, and enterprise AI implementation approaches
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, and governable enterprise technology solutions
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture governance, design patterns, and technology standards
  • Experience collaborating with engineering leadership, architects, and executive stakeholders across large organizations
Bonus / Soft Skills:
  • Experience implementing AI platforms using Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar enterprise AI services
  • Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks
  • Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, security, and compliance considerations
  • Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol), AI agents, and enterprise automation strategies
  • TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture certification
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Experience within higher education, EdTech, or another large enterprise environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
