AI Security Architect - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Security Architect for a Remote position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 5 month contract opportunity.

The AI Security Architect will support the AI Security transformation program, providing hands-on leadership across AI security architecture, prompt and data protection, shadow AI discovery, model security, monitoring, and governance. This role will work with global security, engineering, risk, legal, and business technology teams to move security initiatives from analysis through to implementation and adoption.

Responsibilities:

• Lead security initiatives for LLM-powered applications, copilots, agentic systems, and AI-assisted workflows
• Design and implement controls to reduce the risks of prompt injection, sensitive information disclosure, improper output handling, and model supply chain risk
• Partner with engineering teams to embed secure-by-design patterns into AI application development, deployment, and operations
• Create guardrails for AI systems that process customer, employee, and regulated financial data
• Architect and implement AI gateway controls that centralize security policy enforcement for model traffic, including prompt inspection, response filtering, and PII redaction
• Handle model access control, rate limiting/abuse prevention, audit logging, and evidence generation

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of professional experience in a related field
• This is a hands-on role requiring direct technical implementation
• Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Go, or Node.js) for automation, tooling, and integrations

Pay range up to: $72.43 per hour
